I have done several searches and was only able to find that taste of death is located in Ascalon villiage, when I got to this villiage north of LA I found no skill trainer or any one giving this skill for quest. Anyone now where to find taste of death?

Nope, it's there. You talk to the guy up on the hill near the north entrance (blanked out on name)

A quest (Ascalon Settlement) ends with you talking to the same dude.

Go into the settlement, then around and up on a hill. I do not think he has [Skill Trainer] by his name since he is also part of a quest, but he is the only real named character standing on top of that hill.

Captain Greywind gives two quest, but the rewards for said quests are not taste of death. doing quest to see if along the way I get the skill

I'm not sure of this, but I think that's one of the skills that has to be bought, and isn't given as a quest reward. Greywind sells it.

You're right, Greywind is a skill trader. For necromancer you can buy 'taste of death' and 'plague sending' from him.
Just press the 'can you teach me any skills?' dialogue option.
